The ramblings of women from Idabel Oklahoma.
We got a Black African American, a native American Indian, A white trash redneck and a damn republican. This blog is an equal opportunity blog. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, age, veteran status, or the fact your a damn republican.
Even if Obama himself, in conjunction with a majority blue congress, can't necessarily affect major policy change for the 'better' (which I'm hopeful for), I think that his mere approach to governance will have a profound impact on current political philosophies and thereby facilitate a widespread bi-partisan, multi-interest effort. As much as I dislike McCain (after he abandoned reason), it was very uplifting for both candidates to acknowledge a mutual desire for cooperation. It may be disconcerting that we are pushing so hard for a political culture based on dimplomacy, reason, and common domestic interests in the 21st century, but it is comforting to know the paradigm shift is now ostensibly at hand.
