Oklahoma Vote for $700 Billion Bailout Bill

Final Vote 263-171

91 Republicans joined 172 Democrats to support the bailout bill. 108 Republicans and 63 Democrats opposed it. Twenty-five Republicans and 33 Democrats switched their votes from "no" to "yes." One Democrat who supported Monday's version, Rep. Jim McDermott of Washington, opposed the bill Friday. One Republican who didn't vote Monday, Rep. Jerry Weller of Illinois, voted for it Friday.

Rep. Frank Lucas was the only U.S. House member from Oklahoma to vote against the financial bailout plan.

Rep. John Sullivan and Rep. Mary Fallin voted against the bailout earlier this week, then switched to "yes" on the Senate approved version.

Rep. Tom Cole and Rep. Dan Boren (delegation's only Democrat) voted for the bailout for the second time.

Sen. Tom Coburn and Sen. Jim Inhofe split during Wednesday's Senate vote on the bailout. Tom Coburn voting for it and Jim Inhofe voting against it.
